My Journey to Creating the Crystal Calendar

Breaking Free from Traditional Planners: Discovering a Happier, More Aligned Way to Organize Life

I’ve been a self-motivated and disciplined entrepreneur for most of my professional life, constantly juggling deadlines and ambitious goals. Over the years, I attended numerous time management seminars and read stacks of books on the subject. I invested good money in elaborate planning systems and even fancier bags in which to carry them. I’ve bought cheap planners by the dozen—one for every project or life goal—and amassed a rainbow of color-coded pens, sticky notes, and highlighters, anything to organize my busy life.

I have been taught to plan my day the night before. I have tried to make that and other time management techniques work, but often it felt like an intrusion in my life and Mr. Procrastination was not too far away. I’m great at making quick to-do lists and love crossing things off—those lists help keep me on track (did I remember to buy the carrots at the store?). I also get clear on my top priorities daily, especially when the list is long, to help me focus and get priorities done. I can do that and so can most people. It’s easy and it makes sense.

It’s taken me years—really, my whole life—to realize two key truths I wish I’d known at 18: 1) If it doesn’t make me happy, don’t do it. And, 2) no one but me controls my time and is responsible for the life I live. That doesn’t mean shirking responsibilities; far from it. It means doing what truly matters to me and having no baggage around it.

These time management experiences echoed back recently. After years of selling services, I’m now a retailer of rocks and crystals—with both a store and a fledgling online shop. Exploring the world of online sales was brand new. I have spent thousands of dollars on trying to get help and most of it has been a huge waste of money and time. A few weeks ago, my current “coach” asked us to plan our week for greater efficiency—a good idea… Well, if you actually did it—most likely yes.

That’s when the inspiration for the Crystal Calendar struck. It isn’t really a calendar at all—it’s a collection of rocks and crystals, each carrying meaning and purpose to guide through the months and days, all in harmony with planetary support. It may sound unusual at first, but it’s beautifully simple.

There’s a master stone for each month’s energy, plus seven others—one for each day of the week. That’s nineteen stones in total. With these, I now organize my time in a refreshingly different way. There’s no more dreading any day or task. Now, I have more synchronicities, accomplish what really matters, and genuinely enjoy each day.

I can’t wait to share more about how the Crystal Calendar works and how it can empower your life. Stay tuned for the next post, where I’ll outline the steps and teach you the details.
